Sardinia participated in 2010 in the International Tourism Fair of Buenos Aires, for which we make the entire organization, the booth, brochures, posters and video conference with presentation and power point for tourism enterprises and the media campaign and relations with show organizers. We have also organized conferences on the Italian model of SMEs and industrial districts and their contribution to Argentine companies. We are part of CRENAI - North Regional Council of Italian Associations, created and sustained by the various Italian authorities and the Municipality of San Isidro. We participate in various cultural activities (we have a theater group, a choir, with songs in Italian, Spanish and Sardinian language), Italian language courses organized for our youth, tourist activities in both Argentina and Italy. Our theater group has participated in various theatrical, especially in the "Theatre for diversity" with 14 communities from different countries. We participate also in social activities: assisting people who have needs for food, clothing, toys for sick kids at Children's Hospital of San Isidro Maternal even celebrating Children's Day. In 2010 we got an award, through which we were able to shoot a short film called "Destinu Argentina," a story of the Sardinian emigration told through the so-called "marriage by proxy" of which there were cases among members of our institution. We participate every member of our O.N.G. as actors, even the Director is the son of Sardinian. The same was presented in 2011 at the Cinematheque Sarda in Cagliari. Our young people have participated in various exchanges with Sardinia, including in the field of projects funded by the European Union and the Sardinia Region, through which they were able to learn Italian and Sardinian culture, through cultural trips around the island. Young people have formed a Council composed of members of the 7 Sardinian associations in Argentina, which meets at least once a year. Our elders have also participated in organized trips funded by the Sardinia Region twice, in 2006 and 2008, which have toured the island with our assistance. CIARSBAN aims to develop projects that value the ties between the two countries, help as much as possible Sardinians and descendants residents in Argentina and promote exchanges among members, Argentinians and Italians.
